Army entered Wednesday night’s contest losing seven of their last eight games. Lehigh had won two of their previous three games. Lehigh began the game making their first four shots from the field. After the Mountain Hawks opened up a 21-14 lead Army countered with a 9-0 run of their own and took a 23-21 lead on a Ryan Curry floater in the lane. Dr. Brett Reed called a timeout for Lehigh with 3:31 to go in the first half.

The Black Knights took a 27-23 lead into the half.

Army continued their momentum in the second half locking down the Mountain Hawks defensively. The visitors opened up a fourteen point lead on the Mountain Hawks. Lehigh continued to chip away at the margin forcing the Black Knights into turnovers. At the under 12 media timeout the score was 48-38 Army.

Army never let Lehigh get within striking distance for the remainder of the game, and secured a 68-57 win.

The Black Knights return to West Point to host the star game against their rival Navy on Saturday. Lehigh continues their homestand and renews the Patriot League’s oldest rivalry against Lafayette on Saturday in Stabler Arena.
