Boston University led for most of the first half. Both teams struggled to score down the home stretch of the first half as the score remained knotted at 23-21 Boston for early three minutes. The Terriers shot 39% from three in the first half and they took a 26-21 lead into halftime.

In the second half Boston continued to maintain their slim lead. Howard cut the Terrier lead to just one with 7:49 to go on an Anwar Gill layup. This was the closest the Bison had been since early in the first half. Gill put the Bison ahead on a transition dunk off a steal thirty-four seconds later.

A three-pointer by Azmar Abdullah with 37 seconds remaining gave Boston a five-point lead. Howard was forced to foul and make Boston shoot free throws after the shot clock turned off. Boston capitalized on the free throws and claimed a victory by the score of 69-62.

Boston will return home to host Sacred Heart for the start of a three-game homestand in Case Gym. Howard will face UMBC at The Peak tomorrow.
