By: Ethan Hennessy

We are approaching the end of January and here is how the CBI and CIT fields look today. If you are new here I predict the fields of the College Basketball Invitational and CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournaments. This is my fifth season doing this. I have a career 87% accuracy rate (111/128).

  1. Brandon Owens says:

This is still a joke. You are going with every other ASUN team beside the number 2 team in the ASUN right now. It’s fine, we love going under the radar.

    • I have been monitoring Jacksonville State. There have been a couple of times when doing the bracketology that they have the best conference record which would send them to the NIT if they don’t win their conference tournament, but also an important thing to consider with these tournaments is it isn’t the best 32 or 16 teams after the NIT field it is good teams that are willing to put out the money to participate in these pay to play events. Jacksonville State has had a lot of conference movement over these recent years and with that comes lots of money being shelled out therefore I believe they are less likely as an athletic department to want to spend money to participate in a tournament. I could be wrong though, and I will look into their situation further in these coming weeks.

    • BigC says:

I appreciate this. What do you think of Seattle and Cal Baptist?

      Liked by 1 person

      • Cal Baptist is confirmed to the CBI. Seattle I have yet to hear from since they finished as Co-WAC champs and they have a first-year head coach I would anticipate they want to build on the success and continue playing somewhere.
