What happened to Detroit Mercy? Have you changed your mind, or have you learned it isn’t going to happen?

From what I’ve been hearing the CBI is still going through candidates, but it seems less likely now that the Titians will get offered a bid.

With the CBI now being only a four day event all in one venue and there no longer being a best of three final…
1. Have you heard talk of, or what would you think of, the tournament being a three or four game guarantee tournament? Since the teams and fanbases have to be prepared to be there for four days anyway, why not have a losers bracket, 5th place, 7th place games, etc…?
2. I know the CBI likes Daytona but could you see it’s location move around from time to time? Seems it would become less desirable for some programs if they keep going to the the same venue something like 4 out of 6 years.
3. What happened to The Basketball Classic this year?
4. What has to happen for the CBI to become more acceptable for more programs/ to become closer in perception to the NIT?
