CBI Bracketology Selection Sunday

Wow! Another year in the books! A big thank you to everybody that has read and followed the bracketology. This year my final result was fifteen correct teams predicted out of sixteen. The one miss was Tarleton State (I had Middle Tennessee in instead). This year was probably the most challenging in terms of not having very many sources willing to talk, so I was having to do the majority of the heavy lifting. I got an assist from a source at the very end allowing me to swap in USC Upstate (who was completely off my radar) one minute before the bracket release. It felt like I worked my tail off trying to figure out the teams this year, so I am pleased with fifteen! My overall six year record is 162 correct teams out of 181 for a 90% accuracy rate.

*2020: 88% minimum *It was later determined three days from Selection Sunday (at the time of the cancelations) I had already correctly predicted 37 of the would-be 42 teams confirmed in the fields.
2019: 93% (39/42)
2018: 75% (27/36)

You had Charlotte in yesterday but not today but other sources have them in? Did they back out?

Do you know whether there was any consideration given to inviting Merrimack? I feel like what they did in winning the NEC regular-season and tournament titles deserves to be rewarded. As a long suffering St. Francis Brooklyn fan, I’m aware of how weak the NEC is, but I still think Merrimack is more deserving of a CBI bid than Southern Indiana. No offense intended to a team that had a great first D-I season.
